100% Kevlar Flat Wick, Cross Weave – 63.5mm x 3mm (2.5 inch x 1/8 inch)
Renegade flat wicking is made from 100% Kevlar. This cross-woven wick is made from ring-spun yarn, which increases the strength of the thread. Wicking made from this type of thread has a firmer feel and is less flexible than friction-spun thread. Cross weave is more durable than twill for props that get dropped a lot, but its stiffness makes it hard to weave, fold or hand-stitch, so it is best suited for rolled wicks that are screwed to the prop. The most common use for this size is making larger rolled wicks for fire staffs or dragon staffs.
Wick thickness is nominal (3mm, 1/8 inch); the actual thickness varies slightly between manufacturing runs. This batch measures 3.69mm.
