The outside of the ball is a wire cage covered with a fire resistant Kelvar. On the inside of the balls there is a fuel cartridge which holds two small sections of wicking. The flame comes from this center section of the ball and produces a flame large enough to burn outside of the cage. The flame is a large candle sized flame, the outside of the cage does not burn, the Kevlar covering on the cage is only for heat resistance. You can juggle without using gloves. The balls come in two sizes, with the smaller size intended people with smaller hands, or for five ball juggling. Three ball and contact juggling works better with the larger size.

This prop is not intended for beginning jugglers. You should have good control of your juggling pattern before you try this prop.
